Machine and plant operator apprenticeship

Machine and plant operators control and monitor the manufacturing process. If a machine stops, they must be able to react quickly and solve the problem through the use of technical aptitude. Your tasks are:

• Operation of jogging, cutting and stamping systems
• Preparation and setting up of machines and materials
• Using the controlling and regulation equipment
• Maintenance and inspection of the systems
• Documenting production data, calibrating with upstream and downstream areas

• Secondary diploma or school-leaver certificate
• Interest and skill in technical matters
• Readiness for shift work
• Team spirit, sociable and able to communicate

Duration: 2 years

Several weeks of cross-operation placements in the course of the apprenticeship

Vocational training college:
1st apprenticeship year: Nuremberg
2nd apprenticeship year: Munich (similar to bookbinders)
